Spain is once again in the grip of a powerful DANA weather system, named Adam, which has triggered red alert warnings across the Valencia region, Almería and Catalonia. Authorities are urging both residents and visitors to exercise extreme caution and to avoid unnecessary travel in affected areas. For those living on or considering a move to the Costa Blanca, this serves as an important reminder to ensure adequate home and contents insurance that covers storm and flood damage. DANA systems are known for their ability to produce intense rainfall in a short period, sometimes causing serious flooding and infrastructure damage. Keep a close eye on updates from Spain's national weather agency AEMET until the storm passes.
